Marvin McMillar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University.
With extensive experience providing therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families, Marvin has developed a profound understanding of the mental health challenges faced by individuals. Marvin specializes in areas including trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, parenting coaching, anger management, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and family dynamics.
Marvin adopts a personalized therapeutic approach, tailoring interventions from different treatment modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. He primarily utilizes techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy
(TF-CBT), ecosystemic structural family therapy (ESFT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and motivational interviewing (MI).
Passionate about mental health, Marvin believes in the transformative power of support during difficult times. He finds great fulfillment in guiding his clients on their journeys toward improved well-being.
